Engine Interactive | Seattle, Washington

Web development responsibilities consisted of HTML, JavaScript coding and back-end / database interaction using PHP and MySQL. Most of my projects were built from the ground up so I was also responsible for site structure and development planning. To alleviate maintenance costs for our clients, I had also developed many web-based self-admin tools so that clients could easily update pertinent areas of their sites whenever needed.

In addition to development, I also managed my projects through all phases: proposal writing, presentation, cost estimates, site outline, project timeline, site flow chart, content outline, requirements definitions, staging, testing, billing and budget tracking. Clients and management appreciated my clear and constant communication which enabled us to meet our deadlines and stay within budget.

As Engine's online marketing manager, I created and implemented custom tailored marketing promotions that included email-based campaigns, eNewsletters, contests, viral marketing, banner ad promotions, as well as media-buys for our clients. I managed the marketing assistant and helped with search engine placement duties that consisted of keyword research and analysis, creation of doorway pages, site optimization, meta tag creation, website submittals, general search engine research and the monitoring of keyword rankings on various search engines. I reviewed and assisted with the client marketing reports that included an overview of the monthly search engine efforts, in-depth site traffic analysis, search engine placement reports, as well as new ideas for reaching the clients' target audiences.
